How do Clarks children’s shoes fit?
We measure in our store using a Clarks hand gauge. This measuring device was actually invented by the Clarks team back in the first half of the 1900’s. For this reason Clarks children’s shoes are really standard size on length and come in 4 width fittings ranging from an E, which is very narrow to a H, which is very wide. Clarks were early shoe fitting pioneers, supplying children’s shoes in different width fittings and half sizes since the 1900’s. To this day their children’s range focuses on fit, incorporating growing room and practical child friendly features.

What are Daisy shoes?
The Daisy range from Clarks has proved to be extremely popular; it is a selection of girls shoes which have plastic dolls hidden in the soles of the shoes. Some of the designs also include stickers and bracelets. The Daisy Magic Steps range includes trainers, sandals and shoes.

Do Clarks school shoes last?
Clarks school shoes are really durable and have lots of design features which make them really tough like scuff bumpers and strong rubber soles. To prolong the life of your shoes, and keep them looking smart we would recommend Dasco Kids Renovator, it actually dyes the leather scuff back to the shoe’s original colour.

Should I be concerned about the upkeep of patent school shoes?
Patent is durable, looks great and is loved by little girls everywhere; the high shine finish is very easy to look after, the one downside is that when patent is scuffed it cannot be fixed. Patent is much more difficult to scuff than leather but you cannot polish the shoe afterwards to hide the scuff mark. Another thing to take into consideration for when you buy patent shoes is that they are less soft than leathers, although the shoe will give with wear, it will not become as flexible as an alternative leather design. We would recommend Dasco patent gloss to maintain the high shine effect.

Everybody has the same shoes in my child’s class; do you have any tips on how to prevent lost shoes, or the wrong size coming home?
This is a common problem with our customers, to combat this problem we recommend Dasco name labels. The best thing about them is that you can write your name in yourself so you don’t need to order them and have to suffer long waiting times. The labels are then stuck securely in the bottom of the shoes. The labels can be used in any footwear including plimsolls and ballet shoes. If your child has hot feet we would recommend that you use a permanent marker to write your child’s name on the label, it may also be worth putting a small blob of superglue under the label to make it stick tight to the shoe.

Do Clarks children’s shoes come in width fittings?
